Pit River Health Services offers Diabetes Education classes for both kids and adults. The Adult class is held on Mondays from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Pit River Health Service clinic at 36977 Park Avenue in Burney; the children’s class is held on Fridays from 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Senior Center, across from the clinic at 36970 Park Avenue, Burney. Transportation is available for both classes.

Both of these classes are run by Gwen Wolfin and Angela Diaz. F.N.P. Mark Robinson provides the education portion of the classes. Nutritionist Karen Ambrecht frequently attends to educate patients on the importance of nutrition in diabetes care.
