Autistic Spectrum Support Community

Pit River Behavioral Health is organizing an Autistic Spectrum (ASD) support group for individuals (e.g., parents, siblings, and grandparents) who are caring for a child with ASD. Our goal is to create an ASD Support Community, share healthcare resources, and provide educational trainings specific to ASD.

ASD is a developmental disorder effecting multicultural communities around the world. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2019), 1 in 59 children are now being born with ASD compared to 1 in 68 in 2018.

Our ASD Support Community will provide a healing space to share personal stories, including successes and failures, gain access to new resources, and participate in educational trainings specific to ASD. Pit River Behavioral Health is committed to serving our Pit River community with the best resources available in Behavioral Healthcare.

Our ASD Support Community will meet every Monday from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm at the Burney Behavioral Health office.
